That’s my response to this: House OKs Measure Opposing Troop Surge. Is this a sad day for our country? Yep. Should we be disappointed not only in our leadership — yep — but also in ourselves, collectively, for choosing that leadership? Yep. Take notes and learn, lazy America.

Now: so what? It’s a non-binding measure, which pretty much means what you think it means: it’s just to make a point. I like to think of it as the House of Representatives equivalent of your three-year-old stamping his feet and screaming, “IWANT IWANT IWANT IWANT!!!” The point being, of course, that the libtards want camera time to show how serious they are about standing up to the Evil White House …even if they lack the cajones to try to actually do anything about their ©Principled Positions. Personally, I think President Bush should shrug his shoulders and keep on keepin’ on — prior to the elections there was much clamoring for “a change of direction”, including the bright idea of sending some more troops. Now that both of these things have come to pass, the dhimmicrats CAN’T GO ALONG WITH BUSHITLER!!!!!1 OH NOES!!! No, they have to politically posture and make like Big and Bad so that the freaky-freak far left KosKids can froth even more — albeit in a marginally more positive way than usual, even if it won’t last.

The Prez believes he’s doing the right thing in Iraq, and is trying to listen to his theater commanders and get them what they are requesting, as much as those things are possible. If the dhimmicrats really think that President Bush “must be stopped!”, then they should put their corrupt money where there poll-pandering mouths are and call a vote on a resolution with some teeth: try to go for defunding. They say they must take a stand on principle — I say the White House should call their bluff.

The libtards should consider this: those poor, sweet, in-need-of-being-rescued troops a) are trained to kill people extraordinarily effectively, and b) WANT to stay in Iraq, preferably with the REAL support of our elected officials and an ROE that isn’t completely retarded. So should the troops get yanked back home, against their will and before they’ve finished the job in Iraq, they’ll …you know, sort of, like, probably be bringing their weapons home with them. The most advanced weapons systems in the world. In the hands of the most well-trained professional military in the world. I’m just sayin’ :) If I were a libtard, a more …comprehensive re-examination of the long-term vision would seem to be in order right about now.

What can we do about it? Find out who your Congressional Reps and Senators are. Write them a letter or email, or call their offices. Be sure to give your name and address (if they can’t confirm that you’re actually a constituent, it’s into the circular file for you) and let them know how you want them to stand. It’s actually that easy. The next best thing is to stay reasonably current on issues — because the next vote that’s coming up will be a doozy: 2008. Just look at what a month of Shrieker of the House Pelosi has gotten us …can you imagine the U.S. of A. surviving another Clinton White House?

And now you’ll have to excuse me: I’ve got an assault rifle to buy, before the dhimmicrats actually manage to get ‘em banned…
