An attempt to evacuate her from the premises…
posted by nichole - July 21st, 2006 at 10:26 PMSo tonight Robert and I made a trip to Scalini’s Italian Restaurant in Smyrna so I could partake in their infamous Eggplant Parmigiana, which has been known (nationally, even) to induce labor in hundreds of pregnant women who are past the 9 month mark within 48 hours. I’ve been cramping for the last two days and having some crazy Braxton Hicks contractions, so I figured, what do I have to lose? Come to find out, eggplant is revolting. Ok, maybe that’s too strong of a word. It wasn’t *that* bad, but there’s a reason I’ve never had it before. Mom doesn’t like it either. I was expecting it to be like Chicken Parmigiana, but the texture was…slimy…and it had seeds in it! EWWW! Hey, but who cares. If it gets this little booger outta me any faster, I’ll have it every night for a week. I’ll even have it for breakfast! We took a pretty decent walk with the dogs after dinner to try to speed things along too. There’s some things though I won’t try, (i.e., Castor Oil), but who knows. Ask me once I’m overdue two weeks, and I just might change my tune.
So….ATTENTION Dearest Daughter of Mine: Mommy loves you more than I could ever explain, but how can I possibly express that love when you are continuously kicking me in the ribs or the weight of your enormous head is stabbing me in the crotch? Come out and play, and the sooner, the better!
(P.S. Daddy’s ready to meet you too- he’s getting tired of listening to Mommy whine…)
