Well, today was a landmark day as well. Today we had the 20-week ultrasound, and at least two people on earth already know if we’re having a boy or a girl. Those two people aren’t us, however — they are 1) the ultrasound tech who wrote the gender down and enclosed it in an opaque envelope (along with the telltale pic from the ultrasound), and 2) the checkout girl at Babies R Us who opened the envelope and wrapped the appropriate 5-pack (deal!) of onesies (pink or blue).

This Saturday night, Nichole and I will open the mysterious gift-wrapped onesies and discover which one of us is right and which one of us is …mortified at the ribbing that will be endured for being sooooo sure, and sooooo wrong. Fear not, intrepid reader(s): the triumphant one will no doubt make a post in these very pages…
