Today, a bridge crossed: I felt the baby move. Nichole, of course, has been feeling the baby move for some time and had reported that the baby’s movements had recently gotten more vigorous. Then, this morning, she calls me over — “right here, she’s kicking right here..”

Incredible. My kid, the first time she’s ever made “contact” with me. Some things change you forever, and you don’t even realize it at the time…

[Ed. note: I keep saying "she" since I'm convinced "it" is a "she". The guessing will be over this Saturday when we find out for sure :)]
