…and baby makes three!

That’s right — we’re pregnant!

It’s been a whirlwind several weeks: Nichole tested positive on a home test on Thanksgiving morning, we told our fam that day, and today was the first ultrasound! She’ll be 10 weeks on Saturday; due date is July 29th. Little Audrey’s (I’m convinced “it” is a girl, in which case her name will be Audrey Nichole; my wife thinks I’m on crack, as usual, since there’s of course no way anyone could really know the gender this early. Except me.) heartbeat sounded good and strong.

There’s nothing in this world like hearing the heartbeat of your child for the first time. My child. Wow.

Pics from the ultrasound after the jump!

WOW!! Congratulations you two!! Could you have asked for a better Christmas gift? I think not. What I find to be more unbelievable are the pictures of the ultrasound that you did not reveal to the public. Looks like you have a pretty talented child on the way. 9. Mama C. Says:

Thought I was going to handle this grandmother thing with such grace and dignity…. but it’s hopeless. I am head-over-heels in love with a little kid who presently has an enormous head, no hair, and teeny tiny feet. I have been bitten by The Grandmother Bug, and there is no antidote for it! :) Enjoy the months ahead as God knits together His perfect and unique creation…. can’t wait to see the finished “product”! Love you guys!

Congratulations!!! We would offer you some advice, but we don’t feel it would be applicable since we usually think “times 3″. :-) Please keep us updated on how mother and baby are doing. We are sure you will be wonderful parents! Lin and Jenn

  12. Aunt Linda Says:

Hey guys! We just got back from Florida—heard the news while we were there. To say we are excited for you would be an understatement! This puts new meaning to the Scripture…His ways are not our own! :) When you announced it at the table following turkey dinner, we (I, at least) thought it was a girl too! Audrey is a beautiful and yet sophistocated name! (better have a boys name in the coffer just in case) :) Our prayers for a healthy, safe pregnancy and birth are with you all. Love and blessings to you three!

A baby makes more than three. There is the mother’s perspective of the baby, father’s, baby’s. And then there is the mother’s and baby’s perspective of the father, etc. In short you’ll find the world increases exponentially.
