ohmygoodgosh I had to post a followup: when you search for a location — or even types of location in a particular area — the map gets studded with these little pushpin looking things, indicating search results. Clicking on one of them pops up this little window with specific info on that location and — — context-relevant Google search result links!!!!! Aghhhhhh!! It’s too much!!! :D

Wow! This is amazing.
Not only do you get a pushpin on the map for your search and the specific info window, but you can then get directions to/from that in that little window. This interaction and ease of use is amazing, good find!

Hmm… according to babelfish, Mr. Nessen’s German thoughts above translate as:
“I killed a rabbit and a milk man of the area, by using Google, illustrate! I think that I try fish first!”
No wonder learning foreign languages is so hard…
