End Social Security

Flat-out, period, nada. No “saving” it or “fixing” it. Star Parker says figure some way to meet obligations to current dependants and then just shut the beast down. If that idea sounds simple, it is. If it sounds radical, it is. I admit her article is short on meat like “where to get the $$ to meet current benefit obligations” (there is no “social security trust fund”, contrary to ABC/NBC/CBS popular mythology), but she does strike a quick but powerful jab at cutting pork spending. Unfortunately, my gut reaction is “yeah, right”.
Anyway, a good short read. Maybe it’ll stir you up enough to send an email to your reps. Hopefully.
